Is it goodbye to the Fainga’a Twins?
AFTER 20 years and more than 500 games together from under-6s to Super Rugby to the World Cup, twins Saia and Anthony Faingaa are being forced apart and out of Australian rugby.
The off-contract brothers look set to play for different clubs in Japan and France next year, which would end a partnership that started in Queanbeyan when they were five years old.
The Queensland Reds have presented upgraded offers to Saia and Anthony but the money is dwarfed by interest from Japan and France.
But the chances of the Faingaas being signed by the same overseas club are slim, which means that after 20 years and more than 500 games together from the under-6s to Super Rugby to the World Cup, the off-contract brothers will be torn apart. http://www.couriermail.com.au/sport/rugby-gold/its-goodbye-for-faingaa-twins/story-fn8t7efs- 1226275214898 http://www.couriermail.com.au/ipad/faingaa-twins-shattered-about-split/story-fn6ck6f9-1226275139201
